    Job Description *

    Our Equipment Utility Technician supports our operations through maintenance and upkeep of our fleet of equipment, as well as the delivery of fuel to various locations. We are looking for a team player with preventive maintenance experience, with an ideal candidate being a self-motivated and action-oriented individual.


    This person will be responsible for:
    Supporting the Adams Land & Cattle Safety Program and exemplifying safety expectations.
    Safely operating equipment (e.g. fuel truck, water truck, tractors, pay loaders, mobile hospitals, trucks, and trailers).
    Completing on-time preventative (planned) maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and/or facilities (e.g. Mill).
    Applying lubricants to equipment/vehicle components.
    Operating a fuel truck to deliver fuel to various locations.
    Maintaining communication with areas on their fuel needs.
    Documenting and ensuring fuel delivery sheets are maintained with accuracy.
    Operating a large articulating truck with a water truck configuration for dust mitigation.
    Working closely with all areas of operations and communicating the work group’s plans to all affected areas/departments.
    Working effectively in a team environment to complete the necessary daily tasks.
    As time permits and/or when business needs arise, assist with other activities including, but not limited to:
    Maintaining, cleaning, washing, and disinfecting equipment and facilities.
    Assisting with the expedient and safe movement of equipment in and around washing facility.


    Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:
    Commitment to safety and quality culture.
    General operation of equipment.
    Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of equipment and vehicles.
    Experience as a preventative maintenance mechanic is a plus.
    Understanding fluids, appropriate application and replenishment quantities for engines and equipment/vehicles.
    Comfortable with washing facilities.
    Very good problem-solving ability.
    Driven, organized, action-oriented, analytical, and ability to multi-task.
    Basic knowledge of computers.
    Ability to work independently.
    Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
    High attention to detail.
    Must work well in a team-oriented environment.


    This position requires:
    Ability and willingness to perform physical labor in an outdoor environment and in adverse weather conditions.
    Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; 25-50 pounds of force frequently; 10-20 pounds of force constantly.
    Standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching/handling/grasping and stairs continuously. Carrying, lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, kneeling/crouching, climbing and crawling frequently. Sitting occasionally.
    Valid driver’s license.


    Compensation Details:
    Starting Wage: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour.

    We are looking for a team player to provide quality and efficient maintenance support for all the feedlot steel structures and water systems.

    This person will be responsible for:
    - Ensuring safety is a priority for oneself, as well as all employees. Supporting the Adams Land & Cattle Safety Program and exemplifying safety expectations.
    - Maintaining the feedlot's infrastructure to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment that supports the health, welfare, comfort, and proper containment of cattle.
    - Performing upkeep, including preventive and corrective maintenance of feedlot fences, uprights, neck rails, and bunk cables, as well as facilities (e.g. processing barns, hospitals, feed mill).
    - Maintaining and repairing water tanks and main lines.
    - Welding to complete repairs.
    - Upkeeping grounds (e.g. mowing/weed control).
    - Safely operating equipment, such as skid steer, forklift, tractor, backhoe, mini excavator, etc.
    - Housekeeping/organization or work area(s), equipment, truck(s), and materials used by team.
